I haven't seen it yet...but I always rent everything Sandra Bullock does. I prefer renting to our theaters...icky.

I am glad to know you liked it so much.

I absolutely loved this movie. I was able to find it on my only source of anything American streamed online. It was so moving and heartfelt. Sandra Bullock did an amazing job. I hope she wins an award for her performance. Have a wonderful rest of your week!

Movie was fantastic...what a great story. I love it when movies are based on true stories. It made me want to go over to the projects and bring a bunch of wayward kids home with me.

I haven't heard of it, and it's not out here. We are that far behind.

It sounds like an okay movie. Too many lessons and too much kindness for my liking though.

I am not watching the vlog because I want to see the movie first...we were supposed to go a couple of weeks ago but it didn't happen.

I also didn't watch because I still have plans to see the movie. Nice idea having a movie club!

I have to wait until it comes out on DVD to see it; but Bullock was nominated for a Golden Globe (two actually).

I love me an inspirational story, especially when it's true.

Haven't seen it yet so I will skip this vlog for the time being!

What I saw was awesome.

I watched a pirated copy online, and it cut off the last 20 mins, so I missed the ending.

I've always had a thing for Sandy though.

I can't wait to see it. I was planning to go see it last weekend with the hubs while he was home, but I ended up sick in bed.

Hopefully we can go next week when he's home during our shopping trip for "nooner". Last time we did the nooner movie was to see The Knocked Up and we were the only people there.

I haven't seen it; I'm watching the frog princess this saturday. I have my very first new moms playdate! and it's movie day!

I like true story-based movies; but also don't like drama too much. This movie, though, sounds real interesting.

When we came from Mexico. We had no where to go. We were receieved by this older couple (who spoke no Spanish). They fed us and gave us clothes and send us on our way. They are like the angels of many immigrants that come to this country. I'll never forget them. People now a days don't do stuff like that: "enhance someone's life" as you say it.

Movies! Who has time for that! I've heard it's good but I'll have to wait for it to come out on dvd.

Finally!!! I get to comment on the movie.
Loved the "nooner" comment. I paid $8.50. Wow! That's why I don't go to movies too often.

I loved the movie, I love Sandra Bullock. The story is incredible. I loved the photos of the actual family at the end. You can see the love of the actual woman and Mike Oher. What an incredible young man to be so brave to keep showing up to school of all white people, to keep going even though he only had a couple shirts....

I cried too, but mostly because it was too close to home. I tried to adopt as much as I could a ward of the state who was a year from graduating from high school. He did graduate early, he said because he felt like he had a "mom" to answer to. But then he moved back to the same life the state tried to save him from. No one has heard from him since.

But I give him over to God, who brought us together in the first place. I'll keep praying for him and know the Lord will keep him.

My computer is being a stinker so I couldn't watch the video to see what YOU thought of the movie.

My husband I went to see it after Alabama beat Florida in the SEC Championship (Roll Tide). It was so much fun to see so many of the SEC coaches act in a movie!

OK, that was the shallow part of my comment. The deeper part is that The Blind Side made me want to do better. It made me want to make a difference. It made me want to step out of my comfort zone.

It made me want to lose weight, wear tight skirts, and dye my hair blond (so much for being deep).

I hope that you both have a Happy New Year!!
