Halloween Fun...

The two most exciting days of the year in my childhood were Halloween and Christmas morning!

Charisse's son Luke and my son Ben.
They love to dress up during their playdates.
Imagine the battles they will have all year wearing these outfits!

Andy, Hannah, & Charisse's daughter Sophia.

We got a puppy over the summer, so Hannah wanted to be Dorothy.
Ben found this Narnia costume and freaked out.
Andy wanted to be a bat or a bunny. The bunny was $19. Easy decision!

2 1/2 hours of Trick or Treating.
Stopped counting around 100 pieces of candy.
Sorting, Trading, Parental Tax (aka...give us our share!)
Kids passed out after the sugar low hit around 10pm.
We had a great time...

Then just when I thought I'd get a peaceful nights sleep...
The dog woke up three times clawing at his crate needing to barf and poop!
Ben woke up at 5am feeling sick.
I think we might be taking a cruise on the swiney river.
Andy woke at 6am with a bad dream.

Mommy woke up at 7:30am VERY CRANKY from being up all night.
I guess Halloween continues to be a spooky, unpredictable evening!

The children are adorable. Sorry about the pending cruise on the Swiney River. Looks as if everyone had a good time Halloween night despite the outcome.

How cute are they? Too cute! I love that trick-or-treating leads to an early bed time at our house since they kiddos were way pooped at 8:00!

So cute!!!

Hopefully the illness will fade away soon!

I can relate to the not feeling well after eating so much candy thing. =P

The costumes are adorable! My daughter wanted to be Dorothy, but we live in Michigan so Halloween night tends to be cold. I haven't figured out a good way to keep her warm without covering up the costume or layering so much under it that she doesn't resemble Dorothy anymore.

Sorry to hear that your son is sick. My daughter is too. I don't know if it's swine, it just seems like a bad cold to me. Lots of coughing and congestion and a low fever for a few days.

Honestly, I don't know anyone who doesn't have a sick family member or is sick themselves right now. Crazy, isn't it???

The kids look like they enjoyed being someone else for the night. And I see that I'm not only parent who applies the "tax". Love those goodies.

That dang sickness is going around.

Costumes -- and kids -- are darling! Hope you don't have to contend with the flu --I thought I had it but whatever it was passed after 12 hours so maybe that's the case here.......

What cute costumes! Hey, it's worth the next-day crankiness. A mother's job is never done, I guess!

They look precious and more importantly, they look really happy!

At least the ickies didn't set in until after Halloween fun was over, right? But I sympathize. Being sick is never fun. It's not the piggie flu, though---right? Hope not! Hope everyone is feeling better soon!

Beautiful children :o) The joy of being a mom is making sure each and every one of our children are well taken care of - even if it means our beauty sleep is interrupted. I hope that everyone recovers quickly (including the pup) and that it truly is not the dreaded swine flu.

If we had Halloween here, Narnia would have been my choice at least once. I was addicted to the books as a kid and I still love the movies today.

And I would have made my brother be Dorothy because older brothers can be cruel like that.

It looks like a wonderful Halloween! I hope you really don't get sick, but if you do take that cruise on murky, swiney waters I hope it ends quickly!

PS Wonderful Narnia costume :)

I LOVE the costumes! All the kids looked great. I'm sorry everyone started getting sick in the early morning hours. :-(

Hopefully daylight savings time kicked in on Sunday and the kiddos cut you some slack and let you get to bed at a decent time. Mine were exhasted by 7pm. Oh and "parental tax", I may steal that.

So unbelieveably adorable? How do you keep yourself from smooching on them all day long??

Those Halloween photos will be family treasures for generations to come. Very nice!

I am PRETTY excited to have kids to dress up on Halloween. That is until they are old enough to talk and inject their own opinion.

The kids are so cute! I had a bit of the barf myself in the early hours of Sunday a.m. My issue I believe was chasing that glass of wine with 2 Excedrin. Not making that mistake again!
