Scenes From The Season...

Glimpses of Fall...

Outside our home...

Hagdalena Magdalena Hoopensteiner Walendiner Hogan Bogan Logan was her name...
Funny song Andy learned in Kindergarden.
He made a picture of her and we taped it to our front door.

The pumpkin I chose was called a princess pumpkin.
It just made me happy!

Inside Our Home...

Things the kids made in years past...

laminated and used every year.

Fun to remember!

Just little touches here and there...

Autumn Festival Yankee Candle...MMM
Now sold at Target.

This display I keep out all year.

Bought these pumpkin candle holders years ago at Restoration Hardware...

Autumn leaves purchased at Target too!
Love that store...

Buying honey at a roadside stand.

Andy's favorite!

Off to the pumpkin patch...

If you could feel sad at this place...you need prozac!

I have them all well trained.

I'm a picture junkie...

Years ago...

Now...

Looking for the perfect pumpkin...

Sword fighting demonstration at the pumpkin patch!
What fun!!

The perfect lunch...pumpkin pie, lattes, and hot chocolate...

Time to go home and make the Jack-O-Lanterns...

A true artist...

He doesn't like to touch the pumpkin guts...

The kids worked together to build this cute haunted house from a kit...

Hannah, Ben, and Andy's creations come to life!

Boo!

Lovely! What a fun way to spend the day.

Now tell me, do you also send out Halloween cards to everyone on your mailing list (I actually have a friend who sends out cards, like every holiday was Christmas...seriously, halloween, Valentine's, 4th of July, President's day...well, I might be kidding about President's Day)

...she has two eyes in her head, one was yellow and the other was red...oh Hagdalena Magdalena Hoopensteiner Walendiner Hogan Bogan Logan was her name

...she has two teeth in her mouth one pointed north and the other pointed south... oh Hagdalena Magdalena Hoopensteiner Walendiner Hogan Bogan Logan was her name

I won't go on... I learned that in 3rd grade and always make my nephews giggle when I sing it. Love it!

Your photo montage is FABU! A woman after my own heart... I love the camera. I've already trained Girl...she knows to strike a pose and has done so from a very very young age. Your shots of Fall are wonderful! Thank you for sharing

I love these photos; the decorations are great and the time at the pumpkin patch looks so fun. And pumpkins+sword fights-- who knew they went together? :)

Now that's what I call holiday (or seasonal) spirit! The only thing close to seasonal that I have displayed is a bowl of fall gourds on the dining room table. We haven't even gotten our pumpkins, yet.

It looks like your family had a fun day at the pumpkin patch. What a bunch of cuties!

Stopping by for that latte today! It's a great day for lots of lattes here in PA, rainy, drizzly and damp!

Love your pictures, and your princess pumpkin. That was the shape I wanted too, but Tara likes them rounder!

Your decorations and photos are all fabulous!

Have a good day!

Thank you for sharing your fall decorations and family day out. I especially like the one where your oldest son is holding the Indian Corn - I kept waiting to see a picture of him eating it like a squirrel ;o)
A Princess pumpkin is very fitting for you!!!!

What a beautiful home, and fun fall activities! And those wicker-like pumpkins on your mantle...unless I miss my guess, Target, too? I bought one just like that!

Thanks a million for your sweet comment yesterday--it totally brightened my day :)

Just spotted your comment over at my place...never thought of grabbing free decor from the mountains (although there are two once-stunning, now decaying leaves on my counter...) but I DO decorate...a hodgepodge of Target finds, handmade stuff, candles, and yes, some of my photos :) I guess now I'll have to do my own "home tour" to show it all off...LOL

You have done a lovely job decorating your home. I have not even contemplated what I will do with mine. I think it might be a lone cut-out of a pumpkin in the window--so sad.

I hope the kids have a fantastic time on Saturday night!

What a warm and inviting home! I love the display on the hearth and the way the children's school creations are artfully woven into the fabric of the season! Mmmm...roadside honey! I love the shot of the sword fighting display at the pumpkin patch -- I've seen a lot of original things at pumpkin patches, but this was a first for sword fighting!

Fantastic pictures! Love seeing your families at the Pumpkin patch and then at home "designing" their jack-o-lanters. The children's faces are so cute! "Of the moment" photos are wonderful and priceless.

I really like your Halloween & Fall decorations. I saw a lovely front porch with a cute rocker and a wacky, awesome leaf-less bush or tree and a beautiful firaplace with letters spelling out Family (love those letters!) and a mantel with framed photos and some very cool pumpkins.
The Princess Pumpkin is terrific!

Fantastic Haunted House Kit and the Jack-o-Lanterns turned out Fantastic! Somebody wields a knife with some major talent :o)

This is a fantastic post! Thank you!
It's so nice to meet you both!

Your family really gets into the Halloween season. You sure have a knack for decorating. Everything looks great. And it's great that you keep the things the kids made.

I love the smile without the teeth. That is priceless.

These pictures are fantastic. Thanks for the tour around the home, and the pumpkin patch festivities, and even the pumpkin guts (my son hates them too). We have a laminated placement just like that...Joe insists on using it every year! What fun!

Love this post! Autumn is my very favorite season; I just wished it lasted a bit longer. The leaves are almost all gone from the trees around here, and the promise of winter is not far behind.

Did I mention winter is my LEAST favorite season?

ahem.

Great pictures. I love Target, too. And Yankee. Just got a spiced pumpkin candle for my birthday...yum.
